Alright, I brought back the other post Jimmy made about Corel along time ago to avoid having to make a new post...but nobody seemed to respond. My client that I did tee shirt designs for needs the illustrator (.AI) files in Corel format. Their printer uses Corel? I dont know why, but is their a certain format I can export the .AI file into something that can be opened in Corel. Ive asked him to ask them, but he hasnt said anything other that they cant open it. Any help is greatly appreciated...

tell them to tell you exactly what format they want ... not just "corel" ... also ask them if theyve tried using "import" in corel.

Dude I posted this in the other one:
If it has multiple layers, save it as a AI file without compression and tell them to import it instead of opening it. EPSs work also but will flatten all of your layers. PDFs work usually also.

what if it doesnt have multiple layers? export it as an eps?

ya and expand all of your text and strokes

Yea, an EPS will work. Just make sure if youre using any fonts to have them converted into outlines.

Dont know if this came up yet but, corel can handle psd. Its the best bet for keeping layers.
