A couple of the other ones I would freak out about is
ADOLESCENTS- Blue Album
DAG NASTY - Can I Say
DICKIES - Incredible Shrinking Dickies
X - Wild Gift

This was a hard decision, but Jimmy said an album i'd reccommend EVERYONE. and this is the only thing i could think of.
Venetian Snares - Rossz Csillig Allat Szuletett
Glitch electronica meets classical, possibly one of the most beautiful things i've ever heard.

We need to be friends, haha. Id either say Element of Sonic Defiance by strung out, fucking brilliant, or Translating the Name Ep by saosin... the one with anthony green singing, not the remakes with cove. Such killer cds.

ryan miller ima go with fevers and mirrors, i loved that stage of connor
-How about this Arienette? How does she fit into all of this?
-I'd prefer not talk about it, in case she's listening.
-Oh I'm sorry, I didn't realize she was a real person.
-She's not. I made her up.
-Oh, so she's not real?
-Just as real as you or I.

one of my favorite cds of all time, still never gets old.
hideouscarwreck said 6 months ago
yeah, fevers & mirrors is a definite.
"so you mentioned your depression ... "
"no i didn't."
derekdeal said 6 months ago
i would have posted element but i didnt count it since it was an ep, overall i think that one has the better jams, but twisted was my gateway drug to heavy music.

Everybody knows Thunder Road, but this is by far the greatest. Springsteen was the quintessential blue collar rocker, and this was his masterpiece.

Compulsion, their second (and last) full length-album "The Future Is Medium" from 1996. My fav ever. Based on punk and pop, but with these weird electronic influences. Overwhelmingly great tunes, sickness, energy and beauty in heavy doses. Saved my life when I was eighteen.
They even toured with Smashing Pumpkins, yet they never became successful. Wonder why. At least guitar player Garrett Lee is now a well booked producer (Aqualung, Bloc Party, U2 and many more)

Too many fav's but I'll go with two from bands/people I've recently seen in concert..
This is very spooky music and doesn't fit the market of the majority of people here. But, this album made my spine tingle.

I used to think this was their best record hands down but as of late, I've listened to their catalog much more and I can't pick a favorite record. Maybe Morning View? I could definitely compile one hell of a "My Favorite Incubus Songs" cd.

I'm getting "MUTINY!" under a pirate ship tattoo I am getting soon.
I started listening to them when a death of a close one just happened, and Echoes helped me out a lot. "A old book misread" also helped me when I was struggling with becoming an atheist.

Piebald - We are the only friends we have
Piebald - If it weren't for venetian blinds it would be curtains for all of us.
Refused - the shape of punk to come
A new found glory - nothing gold can stay
in that order.
