fullbleed was on a canadian show called jpod, ive never heard of it...

and here is my dilemma, i found someone within the US selling pirated tees. they did a pretty good job w/ the prints too, but they were slightly sloppy and made one mistake that made me realize they are bootlegs. here is the kicker, he isnt even that far away. i am thinking about ordering one to get his address and then getting the police involved, can anything actually be done if someone is selling counterfeit items?

He is clearly infringing your copyright. I dont think police will get involved. This is more of a lawyer type of thing. I nice well written letter in order to scare him and make him stop printing your designs will do the trick.

I would think that counterfeiting is above the local police. I think this actually steps into government agency territories?

jPod is based on the novel by Douglas Coupland. Ive read the book, and keep forgetting theres a show. Its one of the funniest books ive ever read, and recommend it to everyone.
as far as the bootlegs, i dont think cops can do anything. Its copyright infringement, so its probably a lawyer thing like manos said.

I dont know about where in the US we are talking about, but here in Miami,FL police do get involved with counterfeit items being sold. Theres always busts of people selling counterfeit Tommy Hilfiger, Prada, Ralph Lauren, etc. I dont see how this wouldnt fall into the same category.
You might want to call the Attorney Generals Office in the state and see if they have any advice on how to proceed if the police wont do anything for you first.

Yeah, cops and even FBI are always raiding flea markets and even street vendor in nyc. Those are bigger companies, but I dont seee how size would matter.

Fuck scaring him. You want some money right? You would have a case no problem. (What part of the shirt tipped you off?)
dobi said 7 months ago
i think i am going to order a shirt just to get his info, then go to the attorney general in MA. im not going to post any info on where his shirts are out of fear the emptees militia might take it into their own hands. i want this dude to drop dead.
Randomentity said 7 months ago
haha the emptees militia
we are pretty ruthless
Kolby said 7 months ago
Give me the address so I can order one! lmao
Jk
scapyyy said 7 months ago
lawlz the emptees militia.
beth said 7 months ago
Legally you are supposed to send a cease and desist letter where you can ask for their entire inventory of that shirt so they dont continue selling. I dont know how to go about it but I am sure your lawyer would know!
justgeoff said 7 months ago
Hire a lawyer to write up a cease and desist. It should only take an hour or so of his time to do it.

canada has TV?
noFunk said 7 months ago
the book is awesome, but i was a little down on the show for the first few episodes but its getting better. The one thing that won me over was a line in ep 3 when cowboy nearly hooked up with his sister:
"what do you expect, our parents died in a murder/suicide pact"
"worst Christmas ever"
the way he said it had laughing for ages afterwards!
noFunk said 7 months ago
also no evil mark :(
Randomentity said 7 months ago
i was saddened at the lack of evil mark.
i dont know how much youve seen, but they made evil mark the guy that died from inhaling helium. and is actually the scene that dobi posted.
they also put in the
"why are you walking around with a giant knife?"
"oh, were trying to see if you can carry a knife this big around and not look insane. ITS IMPOSSIBLE! Wanna try?"
noFunk said 7 months ago
yeh i saw that ep, i was hoping they were going to introduce him later on as in the book it said hed only started a couple of weeks before katlin....
the guy that plays the dad is quite possibly the worst actor ever!
Randomentity said 7 months ago
Alan Thicke?!
Ive seen him somewhere else anc i cant think of where now. im no judge of bad acting, he doesnt seem that bad to me.
i was disappointed by the portrayal of Kam Fong, i imagined him as younger and hipper.
noFunk said 7 months ago
maybe hes not a bad actor, but the way he plays the dad just bugs me, he plays it so slapstick and unrealistic (not that its a very realistic show but hes just so over the top)
yeh i thought Kam Fong would be younger, in the book hes meant to be really intimidating but still on the same wave length as the jpod guys. in the show hes just kind of there. The guy that plays Cowboy is awesome, hes exactly how i imagined hed look and act!
In the book didnt it turn out that Katlin wasnt really fat she just made it up? also whats the deal with her having a kid, that wasnt in the book was it?
