when choosing the TOTD, im just wondering if theres any distinction between those that are up for sale already vs those that are just mock-ups?
out of the prev 20 winners, there seem to be only 3x actually produced and up for sale :(
im all for great design, but obviously theres a 1,000,000 times more work and effort involved in actually producing a shirt (especially if youre doing it yourself - i.e. not via someone else like threadless or DBH)... and it would be really nice to make that distinction IMHO
what does everyone else think?

t of the day is about design, i do not think its 1000000 more work to print something, i actually think thats the easiest part, email jimmy or american icon or one of the other dozens of pirnters plugged on emptees, paypal them a couple hundred bucks and done. but designing is what tee of the day is all about.
and 9 of the past 12 designs are from a competition were having on here, so they couldnt get them printed within a week(well ONE person could!)

I think all of your shirts should be tee of the day instead of Jeff Finleys. Is that what you wanted to hear?

While I dont agree with what the dude was saying or trying to get across, I dont think that had anything to do with it.

i kinda think he was saying that, his designs really stress the fact that they are printed and not mockups

Well, if thats the case, lame. haha

I think its way harder to design a shirt than it is to print it. Sure, printing is definitely an art in itself, but its still more difficult to design a great shirt than it is to print it.

Ditto! This is a design site..not a printing site. Now even though we may post it before its printed doesnt mean its not going to be printed and that we dont know how to print it!
All the well designers on here know how to prepare the file for print....either/or know the right hands( printer) to hand it to take make our works come to life!

well usually right after were done designing a shirt we post it up here to get feedback on it.. so it hasnt gone to print yet.
chrisrushing said 9 months ago
personally it has nothing to do with what is printed. its about the design itself.
