It wasnt really addressed in another thread, and Im just going to delete this once its answered.
How do you make the brushes pressure sensitive and the line always stays solid black, and only changes size? I did it how youre supposed to I presume, but the lines get smaller AND change color to lighter shades. I have shape dynamics turned on. If someone could be specific how to fix this in Photoshop cs3 that would be amazing. Thank you.

Yeah, I have shape dynamics on, but for some reason it is changing the color of the line as the size is decreased. Im trying to figure out whats wrong bc I ONLY want the width to change as the pressure fluctuates. More specifically, I have shape dynamics checked, and then i have pen pressure on under the size jitter and everything is at 0% in the whole list.

is your opacity and flow at 100%

saw this last night but didnt have my tablet. going to mess with it right now and see if i can help.

good deal. Let me know!

shoot actually, it is coming out funky for me too. i thought it had something to do with the flow jitter or something but it is acting a little weird for me, too. although, the color and opacity arent changing at all, the flow is awkward.
I usually just do my tablet stuff in AI, sorrrrry.

Mines just how you has said. Shape dynamics with pressure on. Everything else at zero. The brush tip shape fades in and out(smaller to bigger to smaller) in the preview picture.
Are your tablet preferrences setup for pen-mode or mouse-mode with the pen?
drewB said 9 months ago
It should be pen-mode, but Im not positive? How can I check?

Does anyone know the solution to this issue yet?

Theres an example so everyone knows what Im even talking about!

are you using a hard brush, cuz it looks like it has soft edges, giving the illusion that its getting lighter.
heavyprints said 9 months ago
If I wanted the brush to be solid, Id probably just use illustrator. Part of the reason for using photoshop for that kind of work is the texture. Still dont know whats up with your brushes.

drew in system pref. the other tab should have your wacom tablet
have you tried playing with the tip feel and or tilt sensitivity? might help, although i just keep mine at the preset defaults.
if you increase the size of the line width and are pressure sensitive to the screen this shouldnt be a problem.
drewB said 9 months ago
Yeah, they are default hard round brushes with shape dynamics on for pressure sensitivity.
Yeah, I know you can make them all solid though. They are, its just the color is changing and its not supposed to with shape dynamics on. Something is up with my brushes. Ive talked to wacom and they didnt know about it either. I need to keep playing with the settings.
Yeah, Ive been meaning to ask you about it David bc we have the same tablet. I think I need to play with those settings. Ill keep messing, but Im not sure. Its only photoshop thats been weird.
