I need to know about opening a venue...or the first steps to begin talking about opening a venue?
[Im Ron Burgundy?]
by venue... you mean a store?
i have some friends who have done it. it seems very much like renting an apartment. seemingly easy to break even if you have enough traffic. go fer it!
have a big space.
i used to help book and promote, ive never seen a bar/venue owner last more than 3 years. good luck.
you mean for booking shows? whats your budget?
yeah i mean for booking shows. and I dont have a budget now, was talking to some friends earlier and the idea was brought up.
Just wondering if anyone has any experience with it.
first, you have to post a thread about wacom tablets, if you type it, they will come.
I know of a few people who are starting out by running an event in someone elses club/venue..that way you get the experience without a massive risk..
eg..

just write me a check for like $15,000.00 and ill give you nothing in return.
it will save you so much time and effort.

Ive been bartending for 6 years at the same address, and Ive worked for about 15 different owners.
