Is that there are countless new "Go Medias" popping up constantly.
Just caught wind of this one in Europe established in 2007:
And of course those folks that own the gomedia.com domain and tried to sell it to us for like $50-100 grand.
Here are some others:
http://www.gomediaco.com/
http://www.gomediaproductions.com/
http://www.gomediasolutions.com/
http://www.gomediamobile.com/
http://www.gomediamarketing.com/
Oh and we are not affilited with Go Ventures no matter how simliar our logos might be:
And for the last time, we are not GoGo Construction or the Welfare Office. We used to get calls almost on a dialy basis from asian accented people asking for GoGo Construction. To this day I cannot find any info about GoGo Construction anywhere!

Yeah that is a good a bad thing I guess. Its god to have a name that can be easily recognized and remembered but it also sucks to have a company in every industry with the same name.

I have know Idea how domains work but I thought that you payed for the name so that no one else would use it. I was looking into intelligent design for a name but its taken so I dropped it. Ill stick with quakerninja, google already loves it. To bad it couldnt be go go dancer tryout ink or something ha ha.

Actually I know of folks that have made a living buying domains that have a catchy sound to them so they can sit on it and wait for a company to come around (that actually operates by the name) asking to buy it.

That happened to the Barack Obama campaign. cant remember what they payed for it, but it was ridiculous.

political activists buy domains that are smilar to goverment addresses- and also make email names similar to ones in use by polititians.
the reason- some one types in the wrong word/letter/symbol- and they get some juicy info.
the last piece of info that we found from all that was the usa goverment actively making it impossible for troops and blacks to vote.
they got away with it too.
safety.

yeah I know tons of domain "realtors", I thought about getting into the business or just buying crappy sites flipping them, re doing the design and reselling them.

Aye. Before I deicded to trademark a name, I investigated a bit.
Found a marketing pdf that said,
1. Odd names, like 'Snorgtees' would fair better than something like 'Active Creations' on the web. Odd names are easier to remember, and the latter would give you a million hit on google. And it comes through as generic.
2. Make the logo a simple character that can express emotion, or be animated. IE) Cingular X guy. You know who he is, and you know he can move around and shit.
I forget the rest. I might try to find it.
I like that when you mispell jimiyo... you get
A BADASS MOTHER!

quakerninja is available but I cant afford to buy it, should I jump on it or just wait it out, Ive been useing the name since high school circa 96 Thats a long time for people to not put the words quaker and ninja together. I think Im safe. I like that when I search quakerninja in google it ask If I mean Queer NInja. Can I sue Google for calling me a queer?
