thats bad ass man, congrats. We have a place down in encinitas. Love living right by the beach.
njonas said 6 months ago
thats awesome, i love the nightlife down in san diego. i went to a club in the gaslamp district and we had a blast...and yea, ive been no more than 30 minutes from the beach my whole life, i dont know what id do if I had to live anywhere else...
Jon Kruse said 6 months ago

njonas said 6 months ago
well its 3200 + 200 for the top floor of the house (4 bedrooms), but its actually pretty huge up there. the deck is ginormous...
AndrewOliv said 6 months ago
well its still sick.. and you gotta admit the location is well worth the rent alone.
ChristianTW said 6 months ago
dana point right now. laguna beach when I move in june. I could never imagine living more than a few miles from the ocean.
heavyprints said 6 months ago
Huh? lol With rent like that you could OWN a nice house around here in 2 years. Paid in full. I understand where its at and all, but I think that depends on your definition of 'worth it'.
I mean thats nearly 200,000 in five years. Its not a mansion, but thatll but a nice ass roomy place in most of the US.
ChristianTW said 6 months ago
I can only speak for myself, but once youve lived in southern California its tough to settle for anything less, regardless of the price.
heavyprints said 6 months ago
I can understand that. Ive been to some insanely nice places in my life and its not hard to imagine why someone would want to be there.
Im just saying.. For the terms of that lease you could own a decent house in 5 years. Thats alot of cash to just give someone and not have ownership in return. Yanno?
njonas said 6 months ago
the standard of living down here is high but almost innate, were used to it and well work for it. I wont consider putting a down payment on a house until Im out of uni with a substantial income.
heavyprints said 6 months ago
Thats cool. I didnt mean to sound like Im busting your balls or anything. I just live in a relatively low-income area. Brand new 3 bedroom 2 bath homes are like 1000/month. 3200/month would make me crap my pants.
njonas said 6 months ago
oh not at all, its all good. yea sometimes i think about how nice it would be financially to live anywhere else. but then i start thinking about how far it would be from the ocean. and then i quickly forget the idea of moving anywhere else...
AndrewOliv said 6 months ago
man... fuck canada and its good economy. why cant we be on the brink of a recession?!
godsloadedsociety said 6 months ago
I rented a place in Toronto right off of Yonge & Bloor for about $2000 a month. 4 Bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, laundry in the apartment. If you look hard you can find what you need
sittingduck said 6 months ago
fucking hate socal ... i love the area, I cant stand 80% of the population though ... Ive never been in so many fist fights in my entire life.
oh, and Ive got a 1500 sq. ft. 3 bedroom 2 bath apartment with a view for miles and its $810 a month with all utilities besides cable included. Thats the entire monthly cost ... I pay 405 (split with a roomie). This is just one reason WA is so much better than CA. :D
njonas said 6 months ago
it rains all the time in WA...and it has the highest suicide rate...
CA ftw!
Aniast said 6 months ago
I think you mean in a recession.
MickyMays said 6 months ago
it doesnt rain thaaat much over there. and as for the suicide rate...theres a reason Frasier was based in seattle.
dwbl said 6 months ago
Im in SF. You can hit me up in July if you want to see some good spots.
ChristianTW said 6 months ago
There are lame people everywhere though, not just in california. There are plenty of areas down here where you can steer clear of those types.

What the fuck? I have a 2 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath apartment with no view unless you count the overflowing dumpster sitting out front, and its $1300/month not including cable, phone, internet, or electricity. I love NJ, but its way too expensive to live here.
