They should've stopped at Aliens. although, I will admit to kind of liking Alien: Resurrection. the hybrid alien baby was cheesy but the cast was decent enough and I'm a fan of Jean-Pierre Jeunet's stuff. then of course there are the god-awful AVP films which should never have been made. why couldn't someone have developed a proper prequel to Alien rather than ruin two perfectly good franchises? Especially since it was Fincher first major studio film. I think the dvd extras said something about the script not even being finished when they started shooting. Samuel Bayer is transitioning from that and directing the new Nightmare of Elm Street.
