If you’re an apple guy or gal, and you’ve been using Safari mainly, you might want to check out Firefox 3. They just released it and it claims to be 2 to 3 times faster on Macs than it’s predecessor. I’ve been using it a lot recently and I’m really liking it. It’s definitely worth checking out...

Also, it’s 2 to 3 times faster than Firefox 2, not just on Macs. The article I read was Mac based though ;)

yeah im on windows and firefox 3 is definitely faster than 2, some of the addons aren’t compatible at the moment but they’re getting updated pretty rapidly.

just installed it, it upgraded from firefox 2 and moved everything that was available. it looks and feels great, so far i am thrilled with it!

Liking the address bar and the bookmark button for starters.
I guess I will need a couple of weeks to really appreciate all the features they have added in this version.

it’s just ok.. i don’t expect double speed or anything. it’s just a better version, it fixed a bug where my pics were resized like crap on emptees:)

I don’t like how when I type something in the address bar that it offers up possible pages by showing me my bookmarked pages. I’m disappointed with FF 3, to be frank. I think Mozilla is losing touch and doing unnecessary shit.

type "about:config" in your browser
enter "browser.urlbar.maxRichResults" into the search field
change the value to 0
restart Firefox

That was the first attraction I had to it and then I started to dive into all of the new features...There are some things I don’t like, but I find issues in every browser..

I’ve been running the 3 beta for a month or so and was hoping they would fix this by the time the final release came out, but no :(
I can’t roll with that shit. What if my mom uses my laptop and sees that I have www.fatasianslutswhoaremissinglimbs.com bookmarked? It wouldn’t be good.

See, I would use the thing that "justgeoff" figured out, but I like seeing my sites I’ve visited.
...just not how they are displayed right now.
Hopefully they come out with something that lets me just have it normal.

well, i just noticed...it is twice as fast as firefox 2..when it comes to starting it...
remember the 3-5 seconds wait period? gone.. that alone makes it the best choice for a browser right now.
