The new Offspring album came out today. The first album I ever bought was Smash on cassette when I was 10 (a pretty cool my first album I think!), i've been a die hard Offspring fan since then.. which makes me incredibly uncool in the current scene.
Anyway, the new album Rise & Fall, Rage & Grace came out today... I like it, there's a few lyrical howlers on there but it's got some typically awesome punk-rock/pop-punk songs on it. I suggest you buy it.
Or listen to it for free on their Imeem Profile.
Enjoy.. but don't tell your friends you enjoyed it because they'll tell you you're out of touch.. like mine did.

my first two tapes were from a friend of mine.. they were whitney houston and tiffany. i listened to the whitney tape (who didn't love "i wanna dance with somebody") but i didn't know who tiffany was and didn't listen to it because she was an ugly ginger.

First tape ever was Vanilla Ice (the one with Ice, Ice Baby). First rock tape ever was Dookie by Green Day (still a great listen).
Does the Offspring CD have its usual quota of "Whoooooaaaaaa"? I really like Americana.

Haha.. they've cut back on the whoa whoa whoooooooaaaa's. There's a few obviously, but not as many. Probably because they didn't let Davey Havoc from AFI do backing vocals again, i'm pretty sure 'WHHOOOOOAAAAAAA!' is all he's capable of singing.

i take this all back. it just dawned on me that when i was like 5 i had a cassette tape of the single "i wear my sunglasses at night" by corey heart. i would jam to it all the time and (you guessed it)... wear my sunglasses at night. for the longest time i thought that was the correct thing to do.

The first CD I ever bought was Nine Inch Nails - The Downward Spiral (Only b/c I already had Pretty hate Machine on tape)

I like Offspring but their last album was shocking with the exception of like two songs. Is the new one better? I want to listen to it now but i'm at work and the people I leeched off at home have found out and secured their network lol.
Worst music at the moment HAS to be elliot minor. They just have a shit sound as a band. I hate them. I also hate the Greenday side project? No idea what its called but its complete wank.

Not impressed with "You're Gonna Go Far, Kid" sounds far too like Panic at the Disco.
