Yes... I've been reading my Jack Davis book .. he is a god..
Top one is just a Study of Mr. Davis's Style I've filled about 15 pages of sketch book in the last 2 hours just fooling around trying to loosen up and not be so anal about my details - markers on vellum.
Bottom, a comp I'm working on.. (Jack Davis STRONGLY influenced as well)

It wasn't till I started design that I had great appreciation for correct proportion, and conversely, excellent proportion manipulation. Props on that sketch. I'm stuck for ideas.

Thanks man.. I have the hardest time with anatomy, I try and sketch from life as much as I can Just constantly drilling the human form in my head.
Cartooning the human form is even tougher for me than natural form.
I just was basically mimicking Jack Davis's style with that top sketch... just try to get the 'feel' of fast, simple lines.... that acually look right (proportion-wise)

i was counting on people not being able to read what it said when i first started into the tee world so i orignally planned to do Muff so i could sell people a shirt that says pussy on it and no one would be the wiser but after some time with my partner we desided on his tag green but as a middle ground since we are both the stoners we are we chose greens like "i call greens" so all the work you'll see here is a coab between the two of us and they will most of the time say greens

O my jimiyo this looks great man, i realy love the way the birds have character looks sick, the only thing i would say to fit in better is that heart looks a bit hard, is it supposed to be like a heart sweet? maybe curve it a bit

thanks, well... i hate it cause it makes me go outside my normal analytical artist mindset. i usually have an affinity for realism. i think its a flaw though. i try for too much realism. it would be good if i was doing portraiture, which ive done oil portraits before, but in the galleries, it doesnt attract much attention because viewers look at it, appreciate the craft, then move on quickly. its the story telling images that attract the most IMO. if you look at lori earley, or sas c., etcetc low brow artists, even william bougeaureau (sp) though their content is mainly focused on an figure, they usually have something in the imagery that tells a story. so i guess im trying to loosen up with the content and how i express it. makes for more interesting piece. IMO. IMO. IMO. IMO. heheheh.
HeavyPrints: you are most kind and gentleman like. a scholar at that. interesting you find this piece the most favorite. i should go outside my box more often.
