you should be able to look on your buddy list window and under one of the drop down lists there should be 'join a chat' and put in 'emptees' who knows though. I use pidgin instead of the actual AIM. It's so much easier because you can manage your aim, yahoo, msn, googletalk, and loads of other IM clients with it. *shrug*
