Johnny Cupcakes may not have liked the way this week started, but the way it’s ending for us isn’t that fun either. I don’t think our rabid little clique, 'The Manticores,' would be able to help in this capacity, but I am unpleased to tell you that last night our HQ office was broken into.
Our Production manager’s and In-House designer’s computers were stolen, holding most of the work we’ve done over the last 6 years. What’s odd is these think-for-themselfers didn’t think to look at any other desks/computers/electronics in the building. These free-enterprise-champions-of-fail failed to take the 3 external hard drives RIGHT NEXT to the computers that backed up all our goodness, nor did they take the checkbooks on top of the other desk or anything else that someone with a lick of forethought would have taken.
Police report is being filed right now and prints are being taken. I hope these purveyors-of-ineptitude forgot to wear gloves and can be thanked in person for the exciting adventures we’re now experiencing.
It’s like a real-life Indiana Jones movie, except there aren’t any snakes and we don’t stand to find any treasure. ...And there are no indians with blow darts.

I appreciate the offers for help. Unless you have a bloodhound and live in the Los Angeles area thouhg, I think we’re good. A computer is a sucky thing to lose...but the information they DIDN’T take is worth... lots. Lots and lots and lots and lots. Dare I say millions.

well shit, then in that case, Im happy for you guys... at least in the respect that they didnt get you as bad as the could have, I mean thing could ALWAYS be worse, but if they didnt get away with millions, or access to your accounts, at least the damage wasn’t insurmountable

Criminals are the stupidest members of society! Thats why there are so many tvshows about them! When my car got broke into two weeks ago the douchebags stole the GPS but not the IPOD that was just chilling on the dash. (Let alone the $100 bill in the glove compartment!)

It wasn’t an inside job. There are thankfully few enough people in the loop that we’d be like, on top o' that. Today ended up being such a killer day actually. I designed a new 'bomb' hoodie (forshadowing), did some work for *** for C****Con in the month of A**us* for a tel*v**i** sh*w called T*e *ffi*e.
But to be honest, if they would have taken the hard drives, nothing would have stopped my crying.

We sort of inventoried what they didn’t take and it’s amazing because it was 1) More then one guy and 2) They had a car. Keeping those in mind, they didn’t take 3 TB external HDs, Wacom pad, any of the other 5 PCs, scanners, any shirts(slthough that would have been awesome. Thugs in Goodie?), Checkbooks, documents, a dollar thumb-tacked to the wall... We were really really lucky. Thank you Jesus!
