I dunno about anyone else, but i've seen a lot of shirts around and not had a clue who has designed them, which is kind of annoying.. especially if it's something awesome and you wanna find out what else the artist has to offer.
Usually when someone asks on here 'who designed this?' somebody somewhere knows the answer - so I thought why not make a thread.

(Gulp, Swallows pride, I guess?) I did this Chiodos one over a year ago... It's funny, you'd think I'd feel bad about this design after that criticism, but I don't. I was pretty much asked to do a couple weird fantastical kid-like drawings, which is not something I am into, really. It's one of those every once in a while designs, what I consider the "market-dictates-the-style" design. Basically, do whatever style kids buy at hottopic, which at the time was kiddy drawing shirts. Glad that fad is over... If any of you work as a full time merch designer, you will know exactly what I mean, about designing something you're not so into, to put food on the table. Here are some other ones I did for them over a year ago. I think these were all hottopic designs too. I really liked some of these.
Ps, this is one of those scenarios where I've never heard of the artist before (till now), that this design was compared to or called a clone, but I can assure you completely, this is not the case whatsoever. I just looked at his emptees page, and It actually looks like I designed this shirt about a year before Rikkib even joined emptees. Just saying. Love - C

Clark man, I really dig your stuff.. you should hang around on Emptees more often. The reason I mentioned the chiodos shirt first because a) I thought it was pretty obscure (the designer, not the band) and therefore a bit of a challenge and b) I actually quite like it - the whole simple take on Greek mythology style looks pretty bad-ass.
Thats awesome dude, gonna order this off Smartpunk tonight. You should throw it up here, it's got tee of the day written all over it! (not literally, you wouldn't want that all over your design..)

Thanks for the kinds words buddy. I check out Emptees every now and then. Lot of talent on here. Lately Emptees has helped sparked some controversy/interest with some close friends of mine. It's funny, I rarely look at the talk section, but your title about 'who designed this shirt' caught my eye and low and behold, my tee was one of them.
I have thought about making a profile here and uploading my artwork a number of months ago, but I am no longer a freelancer, since I am now the designer of a clothing brand, fulltime.
Also, I don't know how I feel about Emptees yet. There's a lot of really cool things about this site, but there are some things that I really dislike about it, and its affects on the art community. But that is probably a whole different post entirely... Anyways, thanks again!

I don't know if anyone noticed but it's most likely done by the same artist who did this Emarosa shirt, released May 9 of this year, also available at Hot Topic. Just picture it without the distressing. The skull and pink sunglasses are rendered in a very similar manner.
I looked through pages of google hits and couldn't find an artist name attached to this or the TDWP shirt anywhere. MerchNow might be able to answer this... they carry the Emarosa shirt.
