Well, the "Early! JULY- Sketches and Illys" was getting kind of unruly so I created a mid July, what y’all workin on?

   ive been sussing out monaux’s work lately and have been REALLY tempted to do a design in his style, just because it is bad ass, but im just not sure if that’ll go good with some, here it is:

   

   in no way am i stealing his style or his imagery, i just think its good practice for me to do a design in his style as it is different from mine and would eventually increase my range in designing, tell me what you think!

    great, i get to follow edgil, and now i’m going to get completely overlooked.

    randomentity. i think yopu try to put too much detail in your drawing and they just loose their shape after a while. im not trying to sound harsh at all but i would like to see you do drawings with less detail and thicker lines.

    edgil, I think you need to ad the H in front of the heights, it looks too weird, Maybe put another gig "h" somewhere to balance it

    i wish i could add the "h" infront of eights, but ive already startin inking it so i cant turn back now :[ ill try and add another "h" inthere though :]

    This is cool. The linework is really good. Just need to thicken the lines up a bit on the undersides of the legs/feet

    i started playing with zbrush tonight

    things didn’t start so great
    
    then i found the "smooth" tool
    
    and then i found out how to up the polygon count
    
    and more progress
    
    messing with lighting

    aye. zbrush is some crazy shiiii. i used to play with it when it first came out. sucky user interface, but awesome tool.

    you should try getting poser, exporting the models out as obj, then import and warp. bet you could do some interesting stuff.

    It’s still pretty early on in the process, and the glare from the flash makes things look worse than they really are. But, yeah. It’s fun anyway.

    awesome heavyprints. a scholar, gentleman, and a man of many talents. acrylic is tough. dries so fast. hard to blend. although i found using a blend medium helps. i guess oil is just as pain in the ass. easy to blend, but slow to dry. once you are done, i would pop some almost white toned paint for highlights. amazing what a smidge here and there will do.

    new wip. going to source some photos. not too heavily though. mainly for comp layout purposes.

    A lil sketch I made. Just came to my mind somehow, I quite like it.

    

    Please ignore the umbrella and drool drops (?), I drew them very quickly because I think it’d be the best to do them in Illustrator without any sketches anyway.

    I like the honeycomb pattern a bunch, and it being over a womans half face, with her eyes covered by a mask which becomes hair makes me think about sexytime. I’m not sure how the waves fit into it all?
