True... I kind of think it's funny though. I got SOOO hated on for &lt;a href="http://emptees.com/tees/13700-teefury-furious-georgie"&gt;this design&lt;/a&gt;, certainly not my best work ever, but people seemed to enjoy it, it sold over 100 tees, yet I was attacked personally on numerous accounts for creating it.

It's okay, I told at least one person to "eat a dick" after reading multiple hate posts they made towards not only my work, but the fine people at Teefury for curating it. However, I hope my response to that individual is not the reason Teefury hasn't contacted me back about future prints there :-0</body>

Yeah, you have to have a pretty tough shell to not feel anything when someone says "you suck" all day long.

If the shirt is good, the people who are buying it probably aren't even commenting, nor reading them, so the nasty commenters are just jerks who don't support the artist anyways, so pay no mind to them.</body>

I think in general artist have pretty thick skins. Personally, if it's a valid criticism then it is appreciated and noted for future use. For example, on my first shirt at TeeFury there were complaints that men liked the women's colors better or vice versa. So for this one, both sexes get the same color. </body>

I'm sorry... but Teefury, in my opinion, was not started with the creation of a "brand image" in mind. It's about giving artists of different styles &amp; backgrounds the chance to not only have their work created and available to the masses, but also for others to gain knowledge of who is out there creating art. It's not about trends. There's something new everyday! If you don't like it, go back tomorrow!

I honestly have spent more $ at Teefury then any other shirt site. I enjoy the variety. If they printed the same "brand image" everyday, given that it was something that I liked everytime, I'd be broke :-) </body>

Since when is Teefury not allowed to do type-based tees? I agree, the "Dead Inside" design awhile back was not my thing, merely because I'm pretty sure it had been done before, plus it reminded me of old-school Hot-Topic stuff, but I appreciate that there is an arena out there that is helping ALL artists get printed.

I really like Teefury, and will defend it's honor any day. Ya know how many other sites have a different tee everyday? Just go there if you're not happy with it... or better yet, CREATE SOMETHING OF YOUR OWN to print there... then see how many people hate on your design... then come back here and tell us about it.</body>

I don't think anyone is really critizing teefury per se, it's the design itself. I think most people here would defend teefury and its selection of artists/designs, but there will always be those of us who disagree with the selections from time to time. I personally can't become emotionally vested in an argument that ultimately serves no purpose but sap my strength. I've only ever left a couple of comments on teefury and that was for Popmonkey's Tierra de los Perdidos/Sleestak tee (which I loved). The majority of times I avoid the arguments because they never end. Having a negative opinion doesn't necessarily make someone a hater. Opinions are like assholes, everyone's got 'em and they all stink. </body>

I agree that the negative comments do get out of hand, which is why I avoid them (except my comment about today's teefury pick). but as Jud said, great t-shirts are in the eye of the beholder. a lot of people jumped down Jared's throat (popmonkey)about his Sleestak tee which I didn't understand. it wouldn't be so bad if the criticisms were a little constructive but most of them were nothing but hateful comments directed at him for being 'unoriginal'. I personally think Popmonkey is a great illustrator and he's definitely gonna continue to do big things, it's just a shame that a few bad apples have to bring him down. </body>

<body>Some people have came in and thrashed on RiptApparel too and I always want to delete the comments by those people, but that really isn't what it's about. It is supposed to be open for people to talk about the design amongst themselves, so at least fury isn't killing hater comments. Really it's sad because none of that is fury's fault, its just the people who want a place to complain. </body>

<body>It is unfortunate, but it's the internet. It seems alot of the thread crappers come from shirt.woot.

They handle it differently, they usually come in with a heavy swoop of moderation and erase most overly negative comments. Typically they call the vocal community, the vocal minority, as what they say, typically isnt necessarily true.. which is understandable. They have no access to the sales data. So although they may hate shirt with X, X might actually sell really well.

It's almost a balancing act of listening to the community, but also, being strong in decision, and going for it regardless of the vocalized opinions, etc.

It's been a fun experience. It will definitely toughen you up, and help you learn what to listen to and what to not listen to.

SO THAT'S WHY YOU HATE ME. I get it now. I really am sorry if I hurt your feelings or anything, any comments I might have made on your art was strictly on that piece of art. And whether or not I create t-shirt art has nothing to do with my perception of it. I don't make t-shirts but I do make art. So stop being a turd and remember that.

But I honestly think teefury has a really bad tendency to use the worst piece in artists' portfolios, and sometimes it gets frustrating.</body>

i think it's kind of deceptive... usually the art strips below the interviews shows what the artist thinks is their best recent work, but not all of that is available, or else they're waiting to hold out for a really good deal with it. or else we didn't even know those pieces existed until after we featured a piece with them, and may try to pick them up later on :P</body>

Oh and cbass99, holding grudges really isn't healthy, especially when the other person has no fucking clue why you have a stick in your butt.
