I've asked herman the same thing. He hasn't gotten any so that means he hasn't sold at least 1000 shirts for any of his designs. The DBH guys mentioned that they "will let you know" if you do sell that much.
they print 9 of each size for the first half run then when they sell the first %55+ percent they go into original run finality where they print the remaining 4 or so shirts of each size then use those for pre ordered international orders in the first quarter then divide the rest of the number of total buyers by the most sellers and end up with a figure, they order then print blindly and blindly ship the rest of the quantity leaving you with said residual. simple.

No.
But that's probably because I've never won anything.

nope, I was kinda wondering the same thing. Herman would be the one to ask, he is always killing with his designs over there.

Yeah. I always wondered about this even before I submitted anything, you never know how much your shirt is actually selling. Would be nice!

I have emailed them suggesting to put a feature where the designer can see what is selling, but they never implemented anything.

I just noticed too that my bear hugs design sold out in mens medium - definitely a good sign, but does anyone have any idea how big their runs are?

I asked about that too :)

I think one of Jimiyo's shirts has sold a lot.
