got me thinking, how are you able to accept credit cards without having the client sign up to paypal then pay you with the credit card. Is there an easier way for the client just to enter their info into a form of some sort? Let me know and thanks!

are you talking about accepting credit cards from a shopping cart/site?
or just as a form of payment for services like art designs?
either way..
you need a merchant account to accept credit cards...which would enable you to process directly from a website or via a virtual gateway (login to a terminal online and enter the persons cc manually).
and with paypal...
you can accept payments from your website or send someone a paypal request...
either way the person could pay by credit card (without having a paypal acct.)
make sense?
