Ive always been interested in watching the changes that happen to our society when a new generation comes around and how it directly effects the way children will grow up (this is what happens when you become a father).
I remember growing up in the late 80's-early 90's seeing a ton of anti drug and anti smoking ads during saturday morning shows. Watching this kid channel (Jack Hanna rules!) since early this morning Ive noticed theyve stopped playing these types of commercials and have since moved onto commercials about Cyber bullying and posting nude pictures of yourself online. When the hell did this happen? Has social networking on the internet become such a problem with younger generations that they have since moved on from drugs to how your children behave online?
Sorry for the random thought! Its Saturday and Im stuck at home with the baby so my mind wanders.

I think thats a fair conclusion.
alot more of the youth these days spend more time on facebook/myspace/nexopia/etc, then they do in the real world anymore. atleast thats what I think.

Which is the lesser of two evils?
Having our youth wreck havoc in the real world and possibly use drugs, or let them stay home and spend all their time wrecking havoc online with each other.
I actually just saw an anti smoking ad, but the ratio is still 5 cyber bullying commercials to one anti smoking commercial. Strange.

You know I never seen a cyber bulling commercial but a sad thing Ive noticed is the kids who post up stuff and pics about how they do smoke, drink, and do drugs online . . . when their parents could find that shit . . . I believe there are many potential things that could go wrong with kids who dont know any better . . .

a shift in society: the 'evils' are the same, its just the vehicles that change.

Does anybody else have the urge to take up a collection and make a commercial like that, but with beth?
It would have her picture, then a picture of her screen name asking for noodz, then like McGruff the crime dog would say some shit, and then another picture of her, possibly looking maniacal after receiving some noodz.
It would be my greatest moment.
