Anyone else bummed on DBH shirt sizing?

posted 3 months ago by Master_Control

So I got a bunch of new shirts with my store cred and the shirts fit terrible. The only one’s that fit some what decent were my design and one other newer one.

Did they switch shirt companies?

The new ones fit pathetic. Super stub. Short and wide. I’m going to be giving them to friends because they don’t fit tall skinny dudes.

I got a bold is beautiful one, and I’m happy with the fit. I’m a big guy, but I’m really tall. I don’t seem to have a problem with the length?

Yeah it’s the older shirts that didn’t fit well. Ones that have been on the site for a while. My design and Incarnadine’s fit pretty ok though.

I’m 6'4"ish but like 160, so the shirts fit like this...

Oh. That was the first one I ever purchased. I’m 6'3. Generally if they fit okay on me, most people are alright with them. Haha.

I’ll keep that in mind though. I hate short shirts on me.

You are super skinny, haha. I’m nearly two of you.

How the hell can you wear a small when you’re 6'4? I’m like 6'0 and I wear XL.

I acutally emailed them about the inconsistency of their shirt sizing, I ordered a bunch of shirts in the same sizes and there seem to be like 3 different cuts of shirts, which is disappointing when you’ve ordered from them before.

Plus my big wolf shirt fit HUGE and probably was a mislabeled medium (I ordered small) luckily it looked ill and I look good in everything anyway, so I didn’t return any

6'2" and 180lbs? probably won’t fit a medium well then? or am i wrong?

no see, you’re pretty average so it might be good for you. depends on the shirt. like jaynajaynajaynajaynajaynajayna said they’re pretty inconsistent with sizing. Everyone of my shirts fits differently. Super bummed on it, so I’m going to be giving them to friends.

    hmmmz

im 6'2, 225, and the DBH XL’s fit me like a glove. they seem a tiny bit tight yet good length. i sort of like tight fit (SHOWS OFF MY TIGHT BOD LOL) but i HATE short length...any time you bend over your lower back showing isn’t cool, but i havn’t had that problem with DBH shirts.

i actually really like the fit of DBH shirts, and i have like 8 of them.

what i dont like are threadless shirts. they seem way too fat and short, as opposed to thin and long.

i dunno...i guess most of the designs ive bought from DBH were older ones, maybe newer designs are on different shirts?

BTW, what type of shirts do DBH print on? please dont flame me if this is covered in a another thread, just thought id ask since we’re on the subject.

I was thinking the same thing today actually. They started that thing maybe a month or so back with their own shirt brand, so maybe they’ve actually created their own cut and have gotten it made somewhere, which would explain the change in sizing.

I dunno. Those guys are on here though they gotta see this thread at some point

    Hey guys!!!

I got about 27 shirts from them a little while ago, and their sizing is a bit... odd. Some of their way older stuff is nice and slim fitting, but lately they have either been boxy and short, or just a bit wider. Jimiyo’s "Keep Fierce" was on a super slim tube shirt, just that one. I asked about it and they sometimes have to turn to other suppliers if their primary one is out of stock, so some shirts may end up being different.

I just stuck the larger ones in hot water and high temperature in the dryer, and they already fit like the smaller ones.

So, hopefully DBH will be solely printing on the fabric edition shirts eventually, to stay perfectly consistent.

i stop purchasing dbh shirts a few months ago because of sizing - i have since been told the fit has been better - so i purchased a 2xl on the $12 sale - have yet to do a shrink test, but hope to do one soon

Yea, I’ve had some problems with DBH sizing.

I bought three mediums in the past couple months and they’re not at all consistent. One fits well, another is too short, and the other "medium" is 3 inches longer than the others and way baggy (I had to return it). Shits all over the place.

How bad does it have to get before something is done about it? Does the general "t-shirt buying public" care that much about sizing or is it just us "t-shirt connoisseurs?"

I have to believe that something will be done to provide more consistency and if not, DBH is going to start developing a bad reputation for poor QC in their shirt sizes.

  31. DCAY - DCAY avatar

    DCAY said 3 months ago

I got my 1st from them, and agree about the sizing. I wear an XL, and assumed it would be similar to buying AA sizes, but an XL shirt from DBH fits like a very slim L size, before even washing! I shouldn’t have to buy an XXL, but guess I should have. AA in XL fit me fine.

  32. Master_Control - Master Control Program avatar

    Master_Control said 3 months ago

Hands down, AA shirts fit the best. I guess when I purchased mine I assumed that DBH printed on AA, but just removed the tags. Definitely not the case.

I mean honestly it’s kind of everyone’s bad to assume that the shirts will fit like AA. They have a sizing chart, which even though the shirts are inconsistent, notes that they’re way fucking bigger than AA shirts. I just don’t get how they can get by using one sizing chart for all the different cuts of shirt, since obviously it’s not accurate.
