So, I climbed Mount Pilchuck yesterday. Reached the peak at 5,400 ft. above sea level at about 1:00 pm. Heres some pictures from my day!
The group I went with (most of them reached the peak at about 2:30 pm)

Some shots of the scenery.

theres a 400 ft. drop below this deck!

This is the very tippy top! Im in the white shirt, my cousin Nate is in the light blue, My little bro Ryan is in the black shirt, and his girlfriend Carolyn is in the green shirt.

Theyve got a little captain in them, unfortunately, only room for two captains on that rock.

We were at the very top!

so it was an already awesome day, and I get home to find this in my mailbox!

Thanks Jimmy!

How cold was it up top?
I noticed you guys were wearing shorts -- and theres snow?!
sittingduck said 3 months ago
yea, it makes no sense, it was in the mid 90's up there, and it got hotter the higher we got. The snow is actually solid ice. it looks like snow, but theres no way in hell you can get a snowball out of it without an ice pick. Apparently the whole trail was encased in the stuff 2 weeks ago, they just opened up the trail during the week when enough of it had melted, we had a crazy winter, so the snow stuck around for awhile. the white mountain you see in the picture above is mount baker, I live closer to baker than pilchuck, and baker holds the world record for the most snowfall in one year. WORLD record! I think thats crazy, cause its not the tallest mountain, or even in a super cold climate, it just happens to be in the one spot where all the weather systems attach to it and dump snow.
