I need some advice/help

I did this for Ryan Higa (youtube comedian) and I need some advice on making it better, mainly on shading, i know about the halftone shading but i see alot of different kinds but don’t know how you all do it, here is the proof and the original tracing, Thanks for all your help.

   Hey I’d make the text slightly bigger so the "higa" overlaps the "ryan" just a little bit.

   As for the shading, you could outline it all in black, and then you could delete some of the red in area’s where you want shading - therefore showing the shirt colour through.
