    Wow! This is the best thing to wake up to. It’s a little disappointing that they didn’t print the original colorway I designed though.

    Anyway, I’m honored to have competed against the best. It reaffirms my belief that my less drawn, abstract style can go well against the top illustrators in the game .After all, art should be diverse and dynamic so I’m bringing my own style and vision to the table no matter what other people say.

    To Jimiyo, even in competition, you have been supportive and pushed me to promote the design the best way I could. I owe you a beer my friend.

    And lastly, to emptees, had it not been for this site, I would not have matured into the artist I am today. And winning in any tshirt competition would have been farthest from my mind. So I hope this serves as an inspiration to every guy and gal starting out.

    Hey folks! Thanks for all the support. Still have mixed feelings about the whole thing. Just about to leave from the wake of my wife’s grandfather who just recently passed away. So feelings of sadness, anxiety, happiness ,and disappointment are all rolled into a ball of emotions.

    There’s been a lot of negative feedback on how the original colors on black/navy blue were not printed. Still hoping DBH pulls through with a full on 14 color print.

    Congrats! Again! I just have to say this is a pretty killer design and I was lucky enough to see the screens (there were to many to count plus a whole second set for womens (had to make the art smaller to fit on the smaller tee). DBH’s screen printer does all of our printing at teefury.com and they are amazing and I am sure there were good reasons for dropping the blue and purple - I know the design was printed discharge so it has almost no hand and looks way better than the photo gives credit for.

    I do have to stick up for the DBH guys - because the print looks amazing, and hey - you just got $10,000 (Woowhoo!) - technically they "purchased it" for 10k and can frankly do whatever they would like to the art - everyone is very happy for you and supportive - anyway just my thoughts - the last thing you should be saying is your disappointed with the print - because I am sure there are at least 9 other finalists who would trade spots with you in a second if all that meant was their art prints out slightly differently in the end.

    I am stoked for you and excited for you! Good Job!

    just for the record, ours was missing part of the graphics between the different colour shirts.

    also, i think dbh still hasn’t quite got their interaction with the artists together yet. buying the design is fine, and yes, technically you can do what you like with it, but you shouldn’t do so without prior consultation with the artist. it just ruffles feathers.
