I’m sorry that you’re shocked. I won the contest but was pretty sure that they’d take gaunty’s submission, I really liked it a lot. But honestly I cannot say that I’m sad they chose mine. It was my first design contest and luckily I won. It’s a pretty good start for me since I try to get into the apparel business now.

Did not mean it as an offense of any sort dude... it’s just that Gaunty’s Neptune is super dope. I mean, corals that form the word Notion, the beard, the coral crown... it’s brilliant. Congratulations on the win, anyway. Fair play to you dude.

I am just starting out in this design area and still have a lot to learn. I also have to pick up on my drawing skills again (which were slowly decaying due to the lot of work I have to do) and try on some bigger and more illustrative pieces. I already learned a lot from this site and the talented artists around here.
The next things will hopefully be not that basic anymore...

I was just wondering why they didn’t write asking for the data to print my design and went to their page again. There I saw your design as the winning motif. If they changed and chose you as their winner, congrats to you.
But regardless if I lost now or not (or your design looks better than mine or whatever), I think this is a pretty bad way to run a contest, just changing the winner after a while.
I wrote them a mail and asked about that. Just wanted to hear if they said anything to you.
