looks good. once you get the workflow, it should become fairly easy. sh-t just starts forming right before your eyes!
few tricks
ctrl-shift-alt-n for new layer. paint opaque. reduce opacity. merge down with ctrl-e. rinse and repeat.
also, its better to pop highlights and dark shadows near the end, cause otherwise you will have to tweak and tweak and your intensities will be all over the place. rather find a good midtone... fill.. right now you are starting with a base of almost highlight. using graidents to throw down inital shading helps too. use path/shapes then fill with slight gradients. SMOOTH!
some pretty decent hair brushes. http://jimiyo.com/downloads/brushes.abr, although if you want realism you will want to have 1-3 pixel brush for individual tedious painting.

Thank you for the advice! Youre the man!
I would love to do some real painting, but this seems easier for now.
I also want to do an art show sometime soon - and would like to have more than just tees to show. Ya know?

Looks good, but as Jimiyo said, you should apply your highlights and shadows during the last steps of your work.
adding layers is the key, and you can also use smudge, burn and dodge tools with smooth settings to obtain a good result.
I forgot to say, a lot of patience would help!
ithew said: Jimmy, that looks awesome!!! I tried painting on the computer a long time ago and I sucked at it, but you look like your doing a good job!
I wish I could show more of this...
yep, its just a "prototype" to see how the book would be when finished.
As I really love the work of Alex Trochut on typography, I used it to "fill" some pages.
Im finally getting around to creating a custom Munny, this one is going to become a cute little owl. I cut the ears off and am waiting for the plaster to dry completely before I sand it smooth and paint....Im planning to make the arms into wings. Super beginning stages but Im stoked to get going with it!!

Thanks! Hopefully I will be able to finish it soon, Ive got the colors planned out to be pastel blueish green, pink, parchment (best acrylic color) and some sort of light tan. Keepin it simple...
New tee concept for The Elegant Scoundrel, called, " The Scoundrels Smirk", once im finished, hell be holding some cards with an Ace semi visible up his sleeve, amongst other details yet to be added.
working on some new album art.. woohooo. Still have several (and I mean several) hours of work to do on this one. Back and front cover. Front should be easier because its a long distance shot, but still, gotta put the same effort into it.

Nah, shouldnt be that bad. Just put the color layer below the black outline.

thanks for the compliments but i agree it is a biatch to colour. :( i dont have a tablet either so im probly gonna end up with boring flat colours! ahh well i hope that the illy makes up for it.

i usually slack a lot on my personal/company projects, and really invest a ton of time into my client projects.
