Gutted.

So we all get wasted last night cause my dude’s bro is in town. This morning I take a snow day (skip class) and we go to Pita Pit for lunch around 11. We come back an hour later through the backdoor to find the shade in the front of the apartment flailing.

We never open those windows cause we live in the city of Bethlehem, PA so we lock everything. I open the shade to find the screen cut up. It immediately clicks in my head so I race upstairs to find macbook and dell gone as well as two ipods. The computers held all our important business documents plus art. Ps thanks Chrees for suggesting the external harddrive. Luckily I have that at home in NJ with some stuff still on it.

I can’t tell you how bummed or violated I feel right now. So gutted.

Anyways, if anyones trying to get hold of me, just email me and it’ll be sent to my blackberry. I miss the computers already.

A few weeks ago a friend of mine had a bunch of shit stolen from his car, right after he sees the car he goes to the nearest pawn shop sees a dude with a bunch of handfuls of his stuff, runs up punches him in the face, "GIMME BACK MY STUFF!" walks back the few blocks to his car and finds $50 on the ground.

    Thanks everyone for the kind words and support. I really appreciate it.

    I’m moving on. Last night I thought about all my "lasts" I had with my iPod... ie. last song (Coldplay - Green Eyes), last meal (Pita Pit), haha, well it just got me depressed. But when I look back, it’s just some technology I lost.

    I did have renters insurance so I should collect some, minus the deductible. Also I had seperate insurance for the laptop so I should collect on that but it’ll take a few months :[ I am so lucky that MOST of the files were backed up.

    Pita Pit is still my new favorite place, get the gyro! I don’t know about getting it while getting drunk, I like to drink on an empty stomach.

    But Darian-Hartwell, I just want to reitterate that my roommates and I being drunk was not the cause for our loss. Whether I went to get food or went to class in the morning, still no one would have been home. We still locked all of our doors and windows like any other day.

    Unforunately these guys have hit 7 houses in the surrounding area in the past 2 weeks, around the hours of 9-noon. They sell what they collect for drugs so nothing has been recovered in pawn shops :[

    Fuck dude, that sucks. I keep something like 3 external Hard Drives updated as often as possible, as well as a few off site backups. You can never know when hardware failure or theft will bite you in the ass.
