I ask because I just set one up. I thought it would be cool to have a more 'behind the scenes' approach, with a focus on designer interviews and processes as well as the usual 'check out this badass tee' posts.
I also plan to do an 'into the wild' section, searching out tees in the dreaded RL and posting them up for review.
But seriously, what would you dudes want from a tee blog?

but seriously, i love reading behind the scenes stuff and learning something new. Interviews are cool too. videos. lots of videos.
epiphany: VIDEO INTERVIEWS!!!

Video interviews are on the agenda.

controversy. i like saucy truth.
all the blogs i have seen are usually too lavish with the praise. when its too lavish, its boring content.
i love it when critics are assholes and speak truth.
but i dont do what i suggest. i blog something negative about anything besides myself, i immediately get anonymous haters who try to enforce moral values like im supposed to be all good and pleasant. i hate that. but its the internet. id like to be an asshole like the onion or jon stewart... thats entertainment.
otherwise your blog will be just another 'this is cool blog.'

well i am glad were on the same wave length!

Oh yeah, I am not planning on being super nice about everything.
Actually, that reminds me. Would you be up for doing an interview at some point, Jimiyo?

Studio visits, process images, interviews [of course] and tees!

Haha.
It would be sweet to follow a tee from concept, through the art process, to printing, and retail. To really see the insides of how it works all the way from concept to promotion. Theres so much effort put into any given product - I think the life cycle is intriguing.

Also, there should be Reilly. Lots of it.
Moss said about 1 month ago
Reilly and I cant be on the same website or the universe will explode.

I would like you to explain your artwork how you came up with the idea blah blah blah ... just give us some insight into the world of Olly Moss.

Info on Technical stuff is what I crave, really. More insights in how certain print techniques work, how to get designs optimized for sreen printing, stuff about overprinting, gradients, optimal stacking orders of colours, colour separating in illustrator, you name it.

i want a gallery of pictures of you. ;)
sounds cool, isnt this your third site in as many weeks? youre super busy mate.
i like the idea of doing a more designer focused blog, and processes, interviews, tutes and stuff would be good.

videos of people actually working. seeing the frenden videos is what started me on my tablet-quest-of-doom and put down my biro. more schtuff like that would be nice.

I think you could bring a nice perspective to it.
Im kind of on the same page with jimiyo in that Ive wanted to see or start a blog with more REAL TALK and criticism, but the last thing I wanna do is hate on people who are still starting up, and the free market tends to take out some of the shitty stuff out there (not mine, fortunately).
Also, the last thing I want to do is hate on a shirts print, when I know that a mediocre print is sometimes bound to slip in with all of the good ones. Im a hateful dude sometimes, but I want to give people the benefit of the doubt.
Jon Kruse said about 1 month ago
Kind of sounds like the talk section of emptees :)
Moss said about 1 month ago
Well I finished my new portfolio, then set up a quick art/process blog to go with it.
Now Ive set this thing up. It should be fun.
Ive got a dude covering a tradeshow for me tomorrow, so Ill have pictures and stuff from that. Im also going to be doing some previews of the new Funkrush stuff due next month and an expose on another super secret project.

I dont really see the point of being nasty about other designs/designers in a tee blog, unless theyre ripping off designs or something- it wouldnt really achieve anything, other than make whoever you say it about sad, and make you feel guilty.
I would like to see some kind of regular thing where a designer/printer/randomer/minor celebrity picks out their favourite tee and tells the story behind it, the memories attached to it, something like that. Thatd be nice.
daleedwinmurray said about 1 month ago
I totally agree vonmonkey. This design business is hard enough as it is - flaming designers that are trying their best to make it would be extremely bad karma. Wanting to read peoples designs getting crushed is a bit strange in my opinion. This is scene is already too much of a popularity contest - it would be nice to bring it back to the design.
I think anything that can give an insight to people starting off in this game would be extremely cool. Especially the whole t-shirt design contest element. Video interviews from people explaining their ideas for submissions as well as showing their process would be a cool way to flesh out the 'vote for me' element.
seibei said about 1 month ago
yeah, thats a pretty good point.
hideyourarms said about 1 month ago
I try to be as honest as I can on my blog, but Im not really comfortable being nasty about certain designs and designers, if I dont like a company I generally just dont write about them, so the reason why Im usually giving praise is because I write about stuff I like.
I will criticise larger companies when they do things I dont like, but thats because I know they dont care about being criticised by little blog.
Video interviews would be cool, Ive been trying to work out how to do them effectively for ages.

this wouldnt be a SUPER seCret project would it?
