So, last quarter I helped teach science to a bunch of 6th graders. Towards the end of the semester they wrote short stories set in the ecosystem we were studying. Since the school is short on computers and I need to get my 20 hours a week to pay the bills, I volunteered to help with text.
I want to know what text you would recommend for stories written by 6th graders. Their target audience is early grade school.

I don't really know anything about typography, was hoping for some text suggestions that little kids would really like. 6th graders are mostly 11-12 years old.

early grade school, I'd go with something simple and bold like Arial black at like 14pt or more.

I've got to make 3 books. If anyone has time to kill and wants to make covers pro-bono that'd be pretty cool. A lot of the stories involve the Wili wili tree or the uhi uhi tree. If you actually are interested and want more info, send me an email.

dude, it's early grade school ... I just named a simple font .. .you really think some 8 year old is going to be able to tell the difference between helvetica and arial? :p
