This is my first artist collaboration tee (that has been completed), and I couldn’t be more stoked. I kicked Derek some basic character sketches and ideas, and he gave me solid gold. I always look back on middle/high school fondly even though it was a hell of a weird time.
The characters are probably all pushing high school but “SEIBEI Junior High” (much like “Degrassi Junior High”) rolls off the tongue better than “SEIBEI High School”.
It’s a six color print with custom tags, and all the inks are autolines or thin mixes so the print has basically no hand. I changed the colors slightly before taking it to press, but Derek was stoked on the changes.
I’ll be working with some more artists soon; I can’t name names (yet) but I think it’ll be good to get some fresh blood that hasn’t really done any work in t-shirt design. Of course, I will also keep churning out work (wah waahhhh).

dude, this is cool.. but i wish there was some little things in there to fill up some of the empty space between the characters. looks great printed, i like how the colors came out.
