Well, this is my first submission so I'm keen for comments good or bad! Its a logo for a name I have worked under with a friend of "Intricate Schemes", and I decided to go all ropey on it. Enjoy.
I want to see some detail ... and your avatar looks too much like rob dobi's ... it's kinda confusing :D ... oh, I see something I can critique without the detail shot though, you should put more work in to the ends of the rope ... it just looks cut off. I'd extend it maybe another inch with just a frayed rope look to it to add a touch of realism and attention to detail to the piece.
yeah i was thinking that the moment I added it actually, and thats what i am working on now! What I have done throughout the design is curl the edges is or hide them, I may add knots to give it variety I think.
Cheers guys, gonna edit the rope ends then i will finalise the design. its a bit of both, used an illustrator brush that wasn't great so i've had to go in and touch it up (I got my graphic tablet through on the weekend so i'm hooked)! man I think I have got hooked to this site already, is it normal to dream about t-shirts all night too?!!

it might look cool if you weight the design more towards the top or bottom rather than being dead center.

Reminded me a little of this

I love the rope, it gets a little unreadable and jumbled though.

definitely a cool concept, was this hand drawn or was it an art brush in illustrator?
