Despite the Owls success at becoming an icon of cuteness, the fact remains that the wise old owl happens to be, pound for pound, one of the worlds most efficient and successful predators. maybe some cartoon violence would accentuate your idea. like half a mouse body hanging out of mouth. with bloody gore all on its chest hairs.
