    Well, the meaning is up to you I suppose. For me, I was inspired by the buddhist principle of The Middle Way and following the eightfold path. My interpretation is that people tend to think dualistically and follow one extreme or another, doing or saying whatever it takes to defend whatever side they chose, when in reality the truth is almost always somewhere in the middle. I use this phrase as a reminder to not choose one extreme, and be open to all sides in any situation.
