I think this would really have to be done with a 3D program for it to look the way you want it to. If you can model a guitar you can pretty easily have to go with a spline and duplicate it. Just a thought.

Yeah, dude. It would take like 30 seconds to import lines from Illustrator into 3DSMax and extrude. Check out the gomedia tutorial on ornate lettering for an idea of how quickly it could be accomplished.

i like it, different kinds of guitars for the different dna proteins would have made it even more badical.

Once you have imported it and extruded it you can duplicate it all you want and then manipulate the positioning. It would be amazing.

when i first saw it i didnt think dna it looked like a spine ?? i would like to see it as a spine with something ele on the front

I think the first version looks best but it need depth. Maybe put a black stroke around each guitar.
