    kyle’s referring to sons of nero, but ive been checking out your work for a while, and ive only seen illustrations on the s.o.n. site in the last few months. Personally i think you have a way better understanding of color, they always ruin it.

    ohhhh okay. he’s a great guy, awesome work, so i’ll take that as a compliment. but, i don’t have any clue why you’d make that comparison, pretty sure our styles aren’t even remotely alike.

    oh no worries. juxtaposing/collaging elements together in a design surely isn’t reinventing the wheel, so you got me there.

    this has a concept, and some sense of relationship between foreground/middleground/background, as opposed to his being more freeform. detailed lineart surely wasn’t set in motion by him either. some areas of texturing do remind me of my own art, but if that’s recent, i’ve been pretty consistant with my style for the past few years.

    no hard feelings and all that jazz, just not sure what you meant by it. don’t see it.

    thanks! its very rare that i get to do anything too colorful with a lot of the bands i have worked for, so i take every chance i can get to make it vibrant.

    i attended the cleveland institute of art last fall, but around halfway through the second semester i really wasn’t satisfied with it. after a couple months of debating and hating cleveland, i came to the conclusion that it just wasn’t worth the money for me. i should probably be attending a local college after this summer just to get some prerequisites out of the way, and transfer somewhere else.
