our collab was about making two pieces. i did the lines for the manticore, and heavyprints colored it, and then, he provided me with this killer lineart.
my colors are made using halftones, 6 unique colors (black or white, yellow, orange, brown, green, red).
Hope you like it. kudos for the lineart, it’s a great progress from my point of view!

the canvas effect comes from the halftones. and the halftones were needed to keep this at 6 colors.

thanks. the halftones are a necessary evil, otherwise the number of colors would have skyrocketed. well, halftones usually look ugly when the piece is downsized, in full detail it just gives it a comic book quality
