Inspired by Nikola Tesla’s superior Alternating Current verses Edison’s inferior Direct Current, this design is Tesla’s Revenge on Thomas Edison.
Edison hired Tesla to completely reengineer his Direct Current generators but refused to pay him. Tesla quit and later their relationship became even more bitter during the “War of the Currents” where Edison refused to acknowledge Tesla’s superior AC and labeled him as a "mad scientist”. After Edison slandered Tesla’s name, Edison became known as a “the great American innovator” and Tesla a “Mad Man.”
