Putting contests on the backburner after this one... maybe. Going to make stock vector/stock hi-res images to sell on my own... maybe... or take a couple months to take on my own boot camp involving just drawing all day long.

    hot-dang...this is awesome. something bugs me about the honey though, i think it needs some more highlights or something to suggest a translucent substance..BTW, is it 3d rendered?
    anyways, great job, please take a break and give the rest of us a few months of chance to win some contests:P

    dizang. i had translucency in the sketch. i totally forgot it. that would have been tight.

    not 3d. just airbrush in ps. although i think having dabbled in the 3d programs to make imagery has helped me conceptualize in 3d space... only a little bit though.

    well, i would have guessed airbrush, but something said 3d, 3d.. well, i guess you could translucent-ize it now and at least show us a pic of what that would’ve looked like..i’m just curious:)

    shoooo... im lazy dood. its already accepted.

    but if i were to have to do it, i would just render the honey comb underneath the honey, up the contrast and then reduce opactiy on the honey layer and let the darkest part show through a little bit. dont know how i would handle other parts where it wouldnt be as obvious.

    yummilicious it incorporates a lot of thing I love....
    Not sure about that drop shadow around the design, i think I would like it much better without that, just my opinion but still very yummi
