So this design started out as a poster project that was showcasing a brush library that I had contributed to. After a while... I decided to play with it a little. A little turned into a lot. And Im left with this to submit.
I named it Banana Split Wig because splittin' wigs a very trill term. And if every wig that got split revealed hidden magical banana split surprises... I just think that would be epic as fuck. Hope you guys dig.
And to those of you who arent hip as to what a "split wig" is... heres a link explaining it for you. Adios.

How did you get them that pressure sensitive. Did you use a tablet?
whalebone said 3 months ago
Yes! TOTD! Thanks for all the love.
@ deepee:
I use maybe 10-20 assorted tapered brushes in illustrator. Some that are evenly tapered on both ends and some that arent. Aside from some stuff thats point-to-point bezier curves with the pen tool, using a heavy stroke - the rest is implemented with those tapered brushes using a wacom tablet.
Holler!
deepee said 3 months ago
Where did you get the brushes mate? :)
whalebone said 3 months ago
made them from scratch... a part of my every day illustrative brush library that most of my designs are made using.
if im not in illustrator, im either using traditional pen and inks or manga studio.
