The Golden Spiral

The Golden Spiral image

This is my first attempt at designing a shirt in a long time so I tried to keep it simple. This is still a "rough draft" so to speak so please feel free to offer any advice.

The design is based off of Fibonacci Proportion, or better known as the "Golden Proportion" You can read more about it Here

Thanks!

It’s a pretty cool concept. A few things though, try to smooth out the lines, and I’d put it on a different colour shirt, the black and that yellow hurts my eyes if I look at it for too long, try expirimenting with different yellows, different shirt colours, and perhaps try rotating the design, so the part on the bottom right, where there’s the pretty big gap, is at the collar.

    Thanks for the advice!

My original thought was that if it ever got printed, I’d do it with a brown or black shirt with gold foil print. I’m thinking that I might like a dark brown better.

we see then, that a pattern exists in everything in nature.
this i like, def try some different color combinations.

cool concept, so you repeated the golden section, or you rotated it as the spiral? Is a combination of the 2?

Its a combination. I drew out the Golden section, then copied it three times, each being rotated slightly. Then I made that a symbol in illlustrator, and curved them around a circle.

I love how each post I’ve made so far have ended up being about beards! I love mine, I would be perfectly fine with never shaving again

golden section is made to be use as a proportion standard, not as itself, the application of the rule gives you perfection in composition, not the use of it. You should make this design stand out strongly so people start using or at least knowing all the proportion standards, color theory and all the other neccesary knowledge necessary to become a good designer. Back to basics:)
So to make this about beards, do you use golden section when you cut it? hehhe I have nothing agains beards, just the fact that makes you look older. Is like faking wisdom

can you 'fake' wisdom? surely the un-wise would only think so. And to suggest that age brings wisdom- would make me think that you are 'young' by your standards.

BOO YAA stick that in yr pipe and smoke it!

I’m joking- i love talking to you- really- we should make a thread for this- loves it.

Being wise at young age, is as boring as faking wisdom at any age. You cannot become wise if you analyze rather than act. So yes, my dear friend, I prefer the crazy, stupid acts of youth, good or bad, than knowing them all, which would stop me from being truly wise at a late age. And as wise as one gets, the quieter he/she should become, and not interfere with the manifestations of life because wisdom is for oneself, and not more than the analysis of one’s life when acts completed. Less acts you have, less wisdom you will get.
So my dear defender of all beards, I DO NOT LIKE BEARDS because they scratch my face when kissing one:) How deep is that :)
