Water Dragon in Blossoms image

First time here at Emptee. . .
This dragon is based on a sketch I did while in Shanghai for a business trip. I found him in a wonderful garden called "YuYuan".
All drawn in Photoshop then brought into Illustrator to clean up.

    I feel like this design would have worked better a few years ago. Not trying to be a jerk, just seems like a dated aesthetic.

    I’m still learning a lot about the underground world of tshirt designs. I had no idea things can get dated.
    Unfortunately I wasn’t in asia a few years ago (and wasn’t trying to design shirts then either). Most of my stuff tends to be cartoony (I’d say 95% of it) so I wanted to go for something more "serious" to see if I could do it, regardless of the theme.
