   you should draw your own sea monster and refrain from using go media vector packs like that. it really takes away from the design.

   i’m aware. however at present time i lack the skills to create a sea monster with such details as this, therefore i’d rather give my client something that, while not entirely original, looks good.

   if you’re truly against stock, then please, practice what you preach. i don’t think there is anything wrong with your tees because you don’t hand draw every piece of it.

    fish outline is go medias. i closed the outline because it was open in places, then i colored it in, and removed the outline, which let it show throw on the cream. then i gradiented it and distressed.

    so yeah. if you don’t like it because i use stock, sorry. i’m not too good of an illustrator and i want my work to look solid. i don’t think stock should be frowned upon, it’s a tool to be used when designing, or else it wouldn’t exist. if i had just put like a skull on it and some wings i would understand your dislike but i think i’ve done enough to it and incorporated it enough to justify it’s use. it fit my topic well and i took advantage of that.

    I don’t think there is anything wrong with using stock vectors, if you hadn’t said anything I wouldn’t have even known.

    This is an example of how to use stock vectors. Great composition, text, distressing and colour choices.
