to me the line/quote doesnt quite go. either does the lion. now the rest would be awesome, especially if somehow you could incorporate those lines into leading into a guitar. those look like guitar frets and strings to me. that would rule.
it just seems like you have 2 different things going and that you could take those things out and then make 2 cool shirts out of it.
it also seems like a work in progress, a little empty
i love the lips, the car and the bat, and the lines/grid looks awesome, its almost there, this could be an amazing shirt
Adding a guitar would be lame. Having the car in there is kind of anti-thematic. Here’s my thought process.
Reason for the Lion: The diamond trade in Africa is killing the people there. Rather than use an imporverished person, I decided to use a Lion – a symbol of Africa. Make sense?
The quote is a reflection on that. The lips, and the bat represent the “blood thirsty” nature of greed. Hell, even the bat is so greedy, the bitch has a gold necklace.
I only threw the car in there because it looks cool, and represents something people spend a lot of money on. The diamond encrusted hood plate is another excessive relation.
That’s just how my thoughts flowed when I was doing this design. I added the waves, and the glow balls and lightning to fill up the empty space.

i want all these little red thread shirts…
i like how there’s kind of a hidden message to the shirt. when someone first looks at it they think it’s just some random pictures thrown onto a shirt, but obviously there’s more to it and i like what it symbolizes.
but i do think jfin, ez, and chris are right about it needing a little more. IMO, the design has too many gaps in between each picture. it looks part maximalism so far, so push it even more to the extreme & i really think that will make the piece much more cohesive.
Thats bad-ass.. That bat having massive bling bat-teeth hanging from its neck is a stroke of genius. I like how you have reasoning for each element of it to justify the design. Water-based prints are something we’d love to get into but sadly every printer in the UK is pretty much confined by terrible quality A4 size prints. Love it though man.. looking forward to seeing more.

Conceptually, it’s great, but I think the execution could be better. Seems like a poor man’s Elektrik Suicide. But I still gots love for ya Jimmy!
