It has symbols all over it that mean different things but pretty much it tells of the cycle of the earth, if you have heard about the end of the world in 2012 part of the "conspiracy" is based on this calendar. The four boxes around the center "Sun"represent 4 cycles. The center "Sun" represents the 5th cycle. In the fifth cycle there always a big change in the earth. This does not mean it will be the "end of the world" but it is more of a call back to nature. It is believed that there are going to be lots of storms and earthquakes that will destroy most of the technology that we have built up or there will be shift in the Earth's poles and that will unbalance everything. Anyway this is just what I learned from a friend while I was on exchange in Mexico, he had a class on Aztec/Mayan culture and he told me about it.
