    i messed around with certain background and such to fill the empty space but it all took away from the solitude that I (think I..) wanted

    like you just open the door of a dark room and saw this

    maybe when this doesn’t print at DBH I’ll work on it more, or try and sell it to a band and add text to it

    not even necessarily text or a background. maybe the slightest accents behind his head or something above his hands. something that actually ties it into a narrative. it’s just missing something. hell, even a tad more slime, or make the melting skin that’s there even more prominent.

    i mean don’t get me wrong, this is awesome, if you can make a gnarly t-shirt out of only slime, i have faith!

    i want to like your stuff but everything you’ve posted so far is really flat. no texture at all. i think that is your weakest point beyond the repetitive subject matter.

    you trace your skulls from a photo reference right? like go media style. if so, maybe try mixing in some of the texture rendered from the original photograph. that could definitely help add some depth.

    It would look pretty cool with maybe some tombstones in the background. I like this though anyways, I like how you just keep your designs simple and clean, does not need to much.

    hmmm, definitely prefer it how it is now, that glow just takes over the foreground waay too much, if it was darker itd probably work really well.

    fucking sick regardless. these colors are perfect

    I’m not usually a big fan of all this stuff but this I like. I absolutely love the lighting on the face its top notch. I also think it could work if you add something around the hands like you have started to do.
