Monster Battle

Monster Battle image

Two crazy looking monsters fight...or are about to high five, im not sure.

I drew this on 11" x 14" bristol with microns. I wanted to practice textures and line quality and this is what came out of it.

Great illustration. I’m not digging the ink colors combined with the garment color though.

HORRIBLE mockup (the tshirt looks super pixelated and blurry...

however the design itself is GREAT!!!

ill agree with geoff tho, the tshirt color isnt a the greatest choice, makes it hard to see whats going on. i think this could look GREAT on that yellow orange color you got going on in the eyes of the monsters. (that way, if/when printed, it saves you money printing another color...also the design pops much better)

anyway, the illustration, once again, is awesome. i would buy this in a second.

Thanks guys! Alex, bristol is a thick smooth paper, it’s great for inking.

I felt that with the detail of the design the more subdued, the better hence the super drab shirt and illo coloring...i didn’t want it to be too overwhelming, there’s just so much going on in the drawing. I personally don’t like really loud colored clothing but perhaps I’ll try something more along what was suggested and try something brighter with more pop to it! Thank you for the constructive crit! ill, I will get a better mockup done soon, it does look like ass....thanks for saying something.

EDIT: Posted a better mockup..let me know if it looks alright!

I love the illustration, but i think it would look a lot better with some different colors.

I remember that i saw this wolf like a year ago and i was amazed:
