A shirt I did for ESP Guitars. Not sure if it will be accepted or not. I was trying avoid the standard design fodder that accompanies logos when trying to appeal to a broad “alternative” audience. I put a frog in to which they said “that’s a little out there… a frog?” We’ll see.

I love the design, but where does it say “ESP” or I might be missing it. The frog is the highlight of it by the way. Nice work.

something about this doesnt sit well with me, i think its cuz at first glance the orientation of the skull and the ribbons kind of make it look like it has an orphan annie hairdo. I think id like to see the skull brought out into the foreground more, maybe tilted back to open the mouth up more and give the frog more room.
the frog may be too cute. ESP caters to shredders, i dont know if this captures that.
I definately can understand why you took a different angle though. kudos for that, for what its worth its still a great illustration.

ridiculous ribbon work.

the whole thing’s killer. do you use traditional pen & ink to draw these, or some kind of art pen like a staedtler or pigma micron?

Yeah the ribbons/scrolls were supposed to be hair sort of. And the ESP Guitars logo is the blue background color. It’s supposed to be subtle. From my perspective, if you’re a guitar company, how much merch/t-shirts can you actually have? Just your logo with some various grunge applied to it?
Well, this isn’t my favorite design I’ve done. But I just figured I’d post it cause it’s new. And I used a Wacom tablet for the whole thing.

This shirt is so metal! It makes me want to go play some Slayer.

Yes, the white shirt with pastel blue is really metal.
It does look amazing, though!
Nice one Jeff!
