Finally finished up my second sub for Metal Ink. I asked that it be printed on shorts and thongs too, but most likely it will be on a tank. lady and the twins is now on sale in the shop section. Thanks Chris, it's just tracing at the heart of it. The style comes from trying to get as far from the original as I can without making it look like trash, it's a tightrope sometimes. I do this mostly by formulaic repetitive lines. For this piece I used a twisted oval shape with a medium and large band on each end. 3pt stripes and alternating color for the inner band, and 10pt for the outer band. Rinse repeat. I borrowed from the surrealism idea where they just take real things and warp them a little. The down side is that the original becomes a sort of safety net. If I am ever going to really step it up, I'm going to need to eventually learn how to draw from a blank naked idea rather then find something I can trace that is close enough to the idea, then warp that. I'm not the best draftsman on Emptees but I try to be different. For better or worse, I put as much thought into what I do as tiny little lines. 94401
