I understand why GM, Mumford, Jimiyo etc get pissed off when someone comes along showing off a style similar to theirs, but in all fairness I have never seen a design that was an exact replica of someone else's. Hell I haven't even seen a RIP that was redone in the same style (besides the ones that literally trace a posted image of course) as someone else's. Yeah everyone works hard to create their own style and what-not, but come on. If you are an established artist, people will be able to tell whether it's your art or someone else's surprisingly easily. Uzi is right in saying that you have to remember that t-shirt design is a very limited field of work when it comes to art forms. There are only a handful of guys who have set the standard in illustrated tee's. So there will be times like this when people are compared to them. And in most cases it turns out to be a one sided affair. I say stop worrying about people who you may think is copying styles because ultimately, if they are just mimicking said styles they will not develop their art and grow any more than what copying styles allows. Uzi in my an opinion is already an accomplished designer and has great work under his name so far. I think he's developing as an artist as it is already.
