I saw a great video that jfin put together on the gomediazine. It inspired me to figure out photoshop linework with my tablet. I've been plagued with problems since day one, but I've finally figured it out. This is my first legitimate designs done entirely in photoshop. Kevin of Crooked Crooks asked me to design a shirt featuring a skinny nerd with bad breath and a really fat girl in a bikini. The design was to read 'your breath smells and your girlfriend's ugly' I hand drew the characters and then illied them up. This is my translation haha. I hope you enjoy it!

I know the whole octopus thing is played out. I did want to try my hand at one, so I opted for the squid. He does have an extra arm. Squids have 8 arms and two tentacles. Man, researching before drawing animals is vital. heh. Anyways, I'm trying to figure out if people just like this line work as is, or if it needs to be completely colored, shaded, and purdied up. Let me know!

Did this one awhile ago for the band. They accepted this one, and it will be printed on more of a mustard yellow shirt, but this is the one I mocked up. It's extremely simple, but for some reason I was really happy with it. Sometimes the easy designs are the ones that look the best.

This is the third one I've done for the band Ethylene. I just finished up this one. Because I don't know their style, I did three completely different style tees for them so they will have a range of designs as some new merch. They mentioned a lyric that they might like incorporated. I did the design based upon that. "If you look past the mirror, you could've had it all" I like the lyric so I built it into the design. You follow it from top to bottom and read the saying, following the flourish and see the eye crying which is what could have been into their name. I tried to do a hand drawn type like the other two tees, but it just wasn't working. That flourish took me forever to do. Let me know because I'm still tweaking things with the designs I'll be showing them..

Alright, this is version 2. I have been doing this for hours. I couldn’t figure out if it needed something behind, what colors, what shades, what cracks. It just took me forever by just staring at it and it went through a lot of phases and I came back to the head just by itself with nothing behind it. I got rid of the outline of the head so that it doesn’t look took boxy and cut off for a shirt. Let me know what you think because I’m sure it will change again but it will be something like this! Let’s hear it!
